"Breakthrough" *9 x 12* Watercolor

Since I'm doing two posts this week, I'll keep this one short and just share a couple of photos of paintings that I completed.  One watercolor and one oil.  I'm finding that each paint medium poses it's own challenges and rewards.  Each one challenges me to be a better painter.  And while I like objects to look real, I also like the whimsy of slightly abstract objects in a landscape - the illusion of seeing the colors and not closely defined objects.  

​Anyhow....finding my routine in life.  Paint for four days.  Work for three.  Maybe throw in a visit with dad somewhere there too.  Counting down the months until I can move.  But that's a story for another day.  Today is devoted to creativity...
