Whew. It's been a minute, hasn't it? So for my peeps who have been anxiously awaiting my witticisms and other insights into "how to go back to college when you're old-ish"...yes, I'm back to blogging for the summer! :) Yes, I see you. YOU. Right there. I know you're giving me "the look" and then giggling madly. You know who you are. I heard you loud and clearly Missy! It was a busy semester and brain was a bit fried. I know you understand.
Awaiting the last grade to hit the books for the semester. Hoping for all A's. Would indeed be a miracle for this last one to be that high. Online class. I don't think I need to say more, other than it was an experiment and I can definitely say it's really not my thing. This semester was good in a lot of ways. I'm learning to be....let's say more tolerant. Tolerant to not sweat the small stuff. Tolerant to teachers who are collecting a paycheck much the same as I am currently. Tolerant to students who seem to be helpless to everything except keggers every Friday night. And perhaps tolerant to feeling like an outsider to this process. Cause that part is definitely my reality. Hahahaha....I turned on the movie "The Secret Life of Pets" and I find myself EASILY DISTRACTED BY WHAT OUR PETS DO WHEN WE ARE GONE! I've always suspected Fred was into stuff. I mean, why is he always so tired when I get home? All he had to do all day is sleep. Am I right? Well now I know the crazy adventures he's been having while I'm busy slaving to keep him in kibbles. You must watch this movie to fully comprehend the humor in this. It's on Netflix. As some of you are waking up and trying to recover from your hang-over, turn this movie on. Go ahead. I'll wait. Go on. Still waiting.... Pause. Okay....well. Awkward. ;) Seriously though, it's a cute movie. And the fat cat is a riot. I will never look at a cheesy puff the same again. Back to updates. I've opened my Etsy shop. THANK YOU to all who have purchased my ceramics work from the semester. I had a bunch of fun making stuff and hope those pieces that have gone to new homes are enjoyed as well. If you have a moment (you know, after you watch the movie), click the link on my home page to check it out. Tell your friends. Maybe buy a little something. Any money earned does go toward the purchase of more art supplies. I'm posting a few photos from the shop so that you can see some of the work I still have available. I've returned to working full time this summer. I am going to make the best of it as it's only for a short period of time. I have many projects in the works, so it's going to fly by. I'm hoping to end the summer by doing a little plein air trip somewhere before classes start up again. We'll see tho. I say I want to do something, and when it doesn't happen, I am disappointed. So I'm going to think positively and be hopeful that I can (fingers crossed) go on a little adventure in August. With working full time, I hope that I have time to create this summer but we'll have to see about this too. I am taking a class at Pima, so time will be at a minimum. It has to be done to get me to that end-goal of my degree - you just dig deep and do what you have to do. Well, that's it for me. Congratulations to all my fellow Wildcats on your graduation last night. I hope your college experience was everything and more than what you were expecting. For Anvi and Hannah...you already know how I feel about you! Many blessings and good things for both of you as your new journey begins. I hope our paths cross again in the future. Have a great week everyone! Do good things this week!
